Q&A About Common Problems Of Laser Cutting Machine
In order to enhance everyone's understanding of laser cutting machines, Razortek has compiled two common problems in metal processing and provided solutions for customers to adjust when these production issues actually arise.
Q: Why are there always burrs on the cutting surface when cutting carbon steel?
Answer: As is well known, the working principle of fiber laser cutting machine is to use the energy of the beam to achieve the cutting of metal sheets. Therefore, when burrs appear on the cutting surface of sheet metal parts, the first thing to consider is the laser focusing position, which will result in ineffective processing of sheet metal parts. So the solution is to adjust the focusing direction of the laser head. But if there is no problem with laser head focusing, then laser power needs to be considered. Due to the different power of laser cutting ability, if the thickness of the processed carbon steel exceeds the limit value of laser cutting, the cutting quality will decrease. The third thing to check is the auxiliary gas. Generally speaking, the higher the purity of the auxiliary gas, the better the cutting performance of the laser cutting machine, so it is necessary to ensure the quality of the auxiliary gas.
Q: Why are metal plates sometimes not cut open?
Answer: When metal materials are not cut, the main reason may be that the nozzle of the laser head does not match the thickness of the working material. It is also possible that the cutting speed of the laser cutting machine is too fast. Therefore, the operator needs to replace the nozzle with a suitable size and reduce the cutting speed of the machine.
